The BAIS insurance technology's online charity jigsaw event raised enough to support 35 children through a Feel the Magic program to help grieving kids.
The winner of the two pieces of Fiona Omeenyo indigenous artwork valued at over AU$4k was Rebecca Ricketts. Petplan Australasia won the draw for BAIS clients - they also will receive a piece of original artwork. The winners were drawn by James Thomas, CEO of Feel the Magic.
Commenting on the event, David Hampton General Manager BAIS said, “To have been able to help at least 35 kids who have lost parents means a lot to us. Feel the Magic does a lot of great work and not being able to hold physical events in 2020 has severely impacted the amount of support they have been able to provide.”
You can watch a recording of the draw here.
The theme of the event was BAIS’ new indigenous office artwork that includes a piece entitled ‘Gathering and Yarning’ by Fiona Omeenyo. Yarning keeps communication open and ongoing and we liken this to our collaborative way of developing solutions for the benefit of the whole BAIS community and the value we place in having a locally-based team.
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets and donated to the event as well as Lockhart River Arts and Japingka Gallery for supporting the event.
